To correct, or not to correct...That is the question!

Several of you have taken advantage of the opportunity to make corrections on your classwork.  Besides the obvious reason of raising your grade, what other benefits do you see in making corrections on your work?  Some would argue it's a waste of time.  What do you think?  Be sure to explain your choice.

It can help you learn what you got wrong. It can get your grades back up if you dont like the grade you got.It helps you learn so that next time you can get that answer right.I dont think its a waste of time because it helps you fix you mistakes.

I think that its a real help to make corrections so i can get a better grade if my test that i take is bad. you can be able to do things like at home and afterschool activities because some parents are strict and if you have bad grades you cant do anything. Also get grounded!but i defintly think its not a waste of time beacuse wouldnt some people want to do things instead of gettin introuble all the time? So i think that we are given a gift for corrections because high school defintly wont let us do that!

Another reason I made corrections other to bring my grade up was so that I could later use the paper to study. Had I not made corrections I would have studied invalid material and would have got the question wrong again. In the end makking test corrections is a big help all around.

I think you should correct your work.If its a test and it has questions that will be on the SOL then you would have somthing to study with that has the right answeres. It would help in the end so you can know what you did wrong and when it comes time for the next test you can remember what was the wrong one and automaticly eliminate that answere. Thats why i think you should always correct your work.

Making corrections helps you realize what you did wrong. Next time you are asked that question you are more likely to get it right. I think everyone should do corrections if they get a low grade or want to. I don't think kids should be forced to if they got what they think is a good grade.

well i always turn in my work on time and i always do exta credit if i have a bad grade on something.

Well arguing is kindve a waste of time cause it would be your fault if you didnt feel like doing it,So either way you still would loose the arguement,Unless you had a family emergency and didnt turn it in then its a way diffrent story.

When I grade my own class work I remember it better. Because I see what I got worng and remember that I need to work on it before a test. I don't think it is a waste of time because it helps me out so I can get better grades.

I dont like grading my own paper because people could just cheat if they really wanted to. I think its a waste of time because you could get other things you need to get done instead of grading your own work when the teachers can.

Christopher S I think its a good idea< if we dont correct it then when we need to study we will be studying the wrong answers. The benifits that come with this is that it helps you memorize them.

Some benifets of correcting my work is being able to improve my grade and learn from my mistakes. I would rather correct myself for one, to improve, for two, to get better at the problems I missed.
